MCSC is Honored with $40,000 Donation from Wells Fargo Bank

MCSC proudly announces the receipt of a $40,000 check from the generous people at Wells Fargo Bank.

Wells Fargo Bank has been a strong supporter of MCSC and the Women's Business Center. It is with their generosity that we will continue to help small businesses start and succeed through our business startup classes, workshops, and no-cost consulting. Thank you for your support, Wells Fargo!

Congratulations to our Summer Start, Run, Grow Graduates!

On August 31st, MCSC graduated another class of inspiring and motivated entrepreneurs. A big congratulations to each and every one of you! These students spent their summer afternoons working tirelessly at starting and growing their businesses and moving closer to their dreams. This intensive summer course was held twice a week for an accelerated course covering marketing, finances, legal structures, licensing, and writing a business plan.

The graduation ceremony featured keynote speaker Bettina Swigger, Executive Director at Festival Mozaic, San Luis Obispo, CA, as well as presentations from some of the students who introduced us to their future businesses.

MCSC would like to send out a special "Thank You" to America's Job Center of California - San Luis Obispo, Cuesta College, @PG&E, and Wells Fargo for their support. We would also like to thank Start, Run & Grow Instructor, Rick Sample for his dedication to the class, and Clint Weirick for the Certificates of Recognition from our elected officials, including the SLO County Board of Supervisors. Without the support and commitment from these organizations and individuals, this class would not be possible.

Announcing Summer "Start, Run, & Grow Your Business" Self-Employment Training Course

We are happy to announce that we will be offering our popular "Start, Run, & Grow Your Business" Self-employment Training Program this summer as an 8 week day-time course.

This class will be held at America's Job Center in San Luis Obispo,CA on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 - 5:00. The class is 12 sessions, with four additional labs available for students who want a more in-depth look at some of the topics. Class begins July 11th, 2016.
