EMPLOYER BEWARE: TEN EMPLOYMENT LAW PITFALLS FOR EVERY SMALL BUSINESS OWNER TO AVOID

Presenter: Hernaldo J.
Please join local attorney Hernaldo J. Baltodano for an insightful presentation and discussion about employment law “no no’s” that every small business owner must avoid. California is home to a dizzying array of employment laws that govern every business – large or small. Not only can non-compliance financially devastate a business, compliance with these laws is important for maintaining good employee relations, and building and sustaining employee morale. Happy employees translates to less legal problems and a healthier bottom line.

Hernaldo J. Baltodano received his undergraduate degree from UC Davis and law degree from UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law. He has spent his entire 10-year career practicing employment and labor law. Prior to launching his own law firm with his attorney/wife, Mr. Baltodano practiced at some of the finest law firms in the country, representing plaintiffs, unions, and companies – ranging from small mom and pops to Fortune 100 companies. Los Angeles Magazine has named Mr. Baltodano a “Super Lawyer- Rising Star” in employment law for several years – most recently in 2011.
